Reflection of lesson Two

On Wednesday, I taught my second lesson. I will say that it went really well. The students had read our big book with the sub the day before so they had some idea of the book. I don't know if they hadn't read the book the day before, my lesson would have gone as well. They had knowledge of the book so I did not have to introduce the book and see if they can get the main idea. I was really excited that the students were able to remember what we had talked about main idea. The students were really good at not only talking about main idea but finding it. Its exciting to see they can take what we have talked about and actually apply it. I also am glad my lesson went so well because my principal was observing me that day.  Looking back, I don't think I would really change anything. It was just enough information to help the students further their understanding of main idea but not overload them with to much information.
